"Baz Corden_You Are Here"

...he's got something, this guy. While most music wears out when you play it over and over trying to figure it out, this doesn't. Maybe this is because the music is so good. Maybe that's because Baz is just so strange. Either way, '_You Are Here' is definitely one of the most intriguing and frustrating CDs of 2008. Listening to it is a bit like being drunk during the day - unnerving, but exhilarating.

"Baz Corden Goes Mobile"

...He takes a bit of jazz, a smidge of blues, and a dash of folk. Sprinkles them with some of the whackiest lyrics you can imagine, leave to bake, and hey presto! There’s a reason one of his tracks was chosen by the world’s sixth largest mobile phone service provider. That reason is he’s very good.

Baz Corden is a songwriter, poet and singer who lives in the coastal town of Durban, South Africa. His first experience with a musical instrument was a guitar, which his parents gave him for Christmas when he was seven years old. But Baz remembers really wanting a toy pick-up truck at the time.

Baz experiments with the poetic flow of folk music and the soulful romance of jazz. He is a unique artist who emanates truth and heart with a beautiful sense of melody and lyric.
