Matt Wigler

Matt Wigler

Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine says Matt Wigler's CD "reveals [his] musical approach as a personal, nicely seasoned gumbo of blues, jazz, funk, and New Orleans flavored styles with the blues definitely at the core. He plays blues like nobody's business".

Matt Wigler is a sensational blues pianist. At age 14, Matt has already appeared on Radio and TV and with the Tommy Castro Band, Buckwheat Zydeco, Tab Benoit, Lil’ Ed, and many other blues superstars. Matt’s debut CD, Matt Wigler XIII, was produced by the phenomenal blues artist Deanna Bogart. The CD has received rave reviews from blues magazines and blues society newsletters across the country. Mike Aubin (the great blues drummer from the Deanna Bogart band) joins Matt in competing at the IBC. Matt Wigler and Mike Aubin were recently featured in the filming of a PBS documentary about blues pianists along with Deanna Bogart and Marcia Ball.
