In the first evening the stars were eugenio mirti and chiara onida, named as BBDUO, with special guest ken sharf’s trumpet.
The trio played standards and pop songs , with a good and balanced sound quality that made you appreciate the single skills of chiara (in some tunes she would use a sampler to record herself and then play loops and create with overdubbing in real time) ; the guitar skills of eugenio (comping, walking bass and solos) and at he same time the interplay between the two.
Very important has been scharf’s contribution, he has been a ray charles’s orchestra member for 12 years

Bio

B.B. Duo was created to play with the musical passions of the two parts of the group - jazz, rock, blues, pop and electronic - and to play as freely as possible as only a duo can. Music becomes a game, a way to be tied together and to show the deeply emotional side of the music itself . The length of the pauses can be changed, the tempo can speed up or slow down but the duo will always be together.

The repertoire, made of evergreens, jazz standards and contemporary rock songs from artists such as Portishead and Ani Di Franco, is linked by Chiara's alluring voice and charisma and Eugenio's personal style of playing the guitar .

For fun, B.B. Duo recorded its first collection of classics in December 2006 and is currently recording a second cd.

BB duo has played in Europe, USA, Asia (Dubai) and is planning to play Australia and Japan in 2009.

BB duo likes to play with other musicians, and has played, among the others, with Andrea Quaglino (impossible guitar parts & noises!)Arthur Miles, Federico Marchesano, Paolo Narbona, Ken Scharf, Max Finotti, Lara Brachet Cota, Giangi Cerutti, Ivan Nirta.

As authors, bbduo has signed a publishing contract with the Milan based indie label "decam-tdd"
