Bio
Glastonbury 2009 was full of surprises. Whether it was the reappearance of Spinal Tap, Klaxons secret set or the massive response to Dizzee Rascal, last year you could expected the unexpected. But, nothing was more surprising than the sight of Rolf Harris rapping.
To a crowd of more than 30,000 people (on the smallest stage of the festival) Rolf rapped alongside a young MC. That MC (who also opened the set with a freestyle about rolf) was North London's own B.B.
Manik. Manik is no stranger to the limelight, having performed alongside Wiley, as well as hosting sets for superstar DJs Kissy Sellout & Annie Mac. This year, Manik will finally release his debut album, a collection of songs more than five years in the making. Featuring collaborations with punk rockers Gallows & underground rapper Naledge to name a few, the set will showcase Manik's unique production style.
The album (out this November) will be proceeded by a single "ATTENTION!" & festival appearances (including Bestival & a reunion with Rolf at this years Glastonbury). With a style all his own & some fantastic track's, B.B. Manik is set to have huge 2010. Now, that's something you CAN expect.
