BB grew up on the East Side of Detroit Mi., starting her music career at the age of 5, singing, dancing and playing her clarinet in juke joints and blind pigs with her younger sister and dad. Probably the same places John Lee Hooker frequented. Inspired by watching BB King perform on a television show, BB picked up the guitar at age 13, (literally watching how he placed his fingers). The next week catching Jimi Hendrix, amazed at the stage presence and charisma of them both,Queen put together her own band with younger sister on drums and started playing local clubs, talent shows, wedding receptions, teen reporter gigs skating parties etc. All while attending high school. BB graduated at the age of 16. Her desire to perform and constant persistence, lead to meet and tour with the gospel group "Temptation Rise". Acting as band leader, and lead guitarist, BB was featured with the group on recording sessions as well as numerous television and radio broadcasts. BB Queen tours extensively, nationally as well as internationally, performing on the same stages as some of " The Legends: BB King, KoKo Taylor, Ike Turner, Lil Milton Campbell, Etta James, Johnny Taylor, Bobby Rush, Marvin Sease, Latimore, Ernie Isley, Marcia Ball, Mel Waiters, Al Green, Bo Diddley, Lonnie Brooks, Dramatics, Floaters, Maya Angelou.....
