B.COBB

My name is Brandon Terrell Cobb. My rap name is B.Cobb, which means, Believe Christ on Bringing Blessings. I am 20 years old and live in Memphis, TN. I am the oldest child of Valda and Billy Cobb. I also have two other siblings, Knicole and Brion Cobb. I am a Gospel rapper who is targeting young people from the ages of 12-25 of the Christian world, but also gaining and reaching the youth of the world through gospel rap. I was called to the ministry in 2002 with the guidance of my pastor, Pastor Sonya Hunt. I am really involved in the church and I am a part of many ministries; the tape ministry, the praise and worship team, the 2 in 1 couples ministry (married), and a youth pastor. I would describe my style of music to be like gumbo, because it contains many different styles and things. It contains; praise, worship, personal situations, things that make you; laugh and cry. At the same time it is spreading the word of God. My music is real personal because it contains trials and tribulations that I have came out of and also things that I have seen other people come out of.

I was a young teen living in the world and doing the devil’s music. Not only was I rapping about some wild things, I was also living and doing them also. I was doing things like; smoking marijuana, drinking liquor, lying, and fornicating. I always loved to rap, but God told me I was rapping about the wrong things. So I started going to church more and more. I finally stopped running from Christ and gave my life to him in 2002. Believe me it wasn’t easy and it still isn’t, but I am maturing in Christ and continue to seek him everyday. I am happy God changed my ways and opened my eyes to the things I was doing. So now I am ready to burst into jubilant songs, rejoice, and sing songs to our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ.

Currently I have CDs entitled “A.A.J. 4 LIFE” and “Changing Da Game”. A.A.J. stands for, All About Jesus. I have performed at numerous churches within Memphis, TN. I also have traveled to perform in various cities outside of Memphis to get exposure for myself and spread the word of God to other cities. I also have a new CD entitled “Making My Mark”. I chose this title because I claim that I am about to make my mark in this city, world, and in history.

In my future I see nothing but great and big things for myself, and the Kingdom of God. I started my own record label “Rising Star Records” and production company. I also want to start my own clothing line and own my own restaurant. I plan to have my music played and listened to by all people and races across the world. I want people to listen to my music and give God praise and worship together. Also I plan to bring as many people to Christ as I possibly can. All these things would be irrelevant without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
