We're in the midst of recording our debut full-length with a 7" single to be released prior to the record. It's gonna blow your mind. In the past we have enjoyed radio airplay on CD101-FM's Independent Playground and Frontstage 101.

Beard of Stars is made up of past, present and future members of such Columbus, Ohio, rock luminaries as Heavy Mole, Preston Furman, The Proper Nouns and Earwig. Our fuzzy-crud and crunch has been described by at least one of the cool kids as “thickheaded guitar pop”. But, we think that’s just because he didn’t really know what the word “obtuse” meant. We think he actually wanted to say that we play high-concept pop-rockers that are “sly with an edge” or that we’re “slightly unconventional with our indie-rock hum-a-longs” or perhaps that we churn-out “an off-kilter sound that is challenging, yet melodically accessible at the same time”. Any way you hear it, we have a lot of fun doing what we do and we think you will, too.
We’re proud to say we’ve shared the stage with such esteemed artisans as Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Wrens, The Apples in Stereo, Swearing at Motorists, The High Strung, Heartless Bastards, Times New Viking, Necropolis and The Sundresses, among others.
