Bio

Bearfoot Wayne was born and raised in the piney woods of southeast Texas. About 1967 his parents moved north to 'Big D' as it was called back then. In 1988 he moved his family to Lubbock. Although he had written a few songs before then, it was in Lubbock, out on the Texas South Plains that he really began to write and perform his own songs. His musical roots are outlaw country and blues. He grew up listening to his parents' country music and early rock-n -roll. As a teen he got caught up in the blues revival. But, probably the biggest influence on his music has been Kris Kristofferson.

He currently hosts, and performs at, the CR1200 World HeadQuarters in Lubbock, Texas. He plays at restaurants throughout the area. He is quickly becoming a regular at the Smith House Bed & Breakfast in Crosbyton. He can often be seen at singer/songwriter nights in Lubbock and Austin performing his original music with his acoustic guitar.

He has played with local Lubbock legends such as Dangerous Dan Earnest, John Sprott, Mike Pritchard, Jesse Bellew, Robin Griffin, Wade Parks, Darren Welch, Mark Wallney, Michael Patton, Brent Adkins, Robert Smith, Eric Holmes, Phillips Spears, Dustin Garrett, Steve Wilson, and the legendary Jack Neal.

He is available for restaurant/club gigs, house concerts, private parties, and charity work -as a solo act or with a band.
