Bio
Growing up in regional NSW, the boys played music from an early age and now reside in Sydney. Having been described as a blend between Mumford & Sons and Jeff Buckley, Bears with Guns rejuvinate the raw energy of folk with a climactic rock twist.
Since July 2009, the band has been writing originals and rapidly building a fan base primarily through gigs at Beach Road Hotel, The Annandale and The Lansdowne. They have been involved in supporting a good cause by performing at the underground art space: Cat and The Moon. They have also played numerous times at the Clarendon Hotel’s Sonic Youth night.
Along the way, the band has developed a strong relationship with various booking agents. This has lead to the band being booked for the Screaming Sundays Festival at the Annandale Hotel and Solar Sounds at The Excelsior Hotel, Surry Hills.
