We partnered with Montreal’s very own Beat Market to premiere the official music video for their new single “Aviator 2000″ from the band’s upcoming new version of their 2012 Red Magic album. Specially handcrafted together with animators Thien Vu Dang and DEFASTEN, the music video sees the Canadian duo journey through a dystopian futuristic adventure. “Isn’t it everybody’s boy dream to be in a dystopian sci-fi action flick, like Planet of the Apes meets Space Odyssey or something like that?” They continued, “When Thien Vu Dang and DEFASTEN then told us this could be real, we got so excited like schoolboys again.” The band’s new album will feature real drum beats to closer resemble their famed live sets and will showcase a new mix from producer French Fox, as well as new mastering by the legendary Mike Marsh from the Exchange Studio in London. - http://www.highsnobiety.com/

Montreal electronic duo Beat Market unveiled their album Red Magic back in 2012, but now they're releasing a newly reworked version of the same songs. This reissue is due out on April 1, but you can already dig into the new and improved version of the album here on Exclaim.ca.

So what's different about this version of the album? Well, this is apparently closer to what the duo perform live. It includes organic drum beats, plus a new mix from producer French Fox and mastering from Mike Marsh (Björk, Massive Attack, Chemical Brothers).
