Misha Ostrovskiy is the singer of Moscow band “Beat-Off-Silence”.”Beat-Off-Silence” can be placed into the category of new artists, who have created an absolutely new format of pop-music of high quality that very interesting. A mix of musical styles, a search of a new sound, and amazing arrangements make this band one of the most topical on the Russian music scene. The band has existed for a year and has already done a lot: organize a live TV concert, performed on board of an airplane – direction to Krasnodar, and also performed at several popular festivals. In the middle of recording a new album and making of the first video of the band, Misha shared with us his thoughts on his 5 most favorite things.

1. Cheese and Hershey’s syrup
Of course not together, but separately. I can’t imagine eating when there’s no cheese – I’ve loved cheese since I was a child. I’d rather not have anything in the refrigerator but have cheese. As far as Hershey’s – it’s a great thing, everything becomes better with it. And the main thing is that it tastes just as good in Moscow, as it does in London, or Santiago.

2. My car
I love my car, it’s a Jeep Wrangler nicknamed “Brilliant Green” because it’s green. It’s my friend, comrade, brother, jacket, umbrella, and boom-box. I often try out new tracks while driving it.

My favorite book is “The Picture of Dorian Gray”, though I think that no movie has been able to express all the main thoughts and ideas that come up while reading it. But that’s the classic argument: what is better – the movie or the book.

4. Sneakers
I think that everyone who puts on dress-shoes subconsciously wants to wear sneakers. That can be definitely said about me.
