This EP from Winnipeg's own, Beautiful Insanity proves just how much lead singer Ivan Reimer has grown since his last project A Fallen September. The songs on this EP have such strong personable messages, but its clear that their music is aimed at a teen and young adult audience. Their songs have very catchy melodies which are a great additions to the stories they tell. Steinbach, Manitoba’s, light rock acoustic duo, Beautiful Insanity came together just two years ago and has already placed second in POWER 97’s Battle of The Bands, and has had the privilege to work with Robb Nash (Live on Arrival), Marc Labossiere (Labossiere, Studio 59) and BE:Cause Industries. Beautiful Insanity came together with the shared vision that “Music needs to be about more than just the sound. It’s about the message, the motive, and the purpose.”
Beautiful Insanity is currently recording their debut album at Studio 59 with producer, Marc Labossiere. Their album is expected for release early August, with a cross country tour to follow. This talented duo has also been working alongside BE:Cause Industries, which has been involved with an organization called “Kid’s Help Phone” and have published a book to help raise funds for this essential organization. This inspiring book is all about how local music has inspired and impacted youth. Beautiful Insanity showcased their song, Tonight, which has been published in the book. They have also performed at various book launches around the province and has plans to participate in future charity performances with BE:Cause Industries.
Beautiful Insanity is made up of Ivan Reimer (Lead singer and backing guitar) and Rob Martens (Lead guitar and backing vocals). The two met in 2009,;at the time Ivan was in the band A Fallen September and Rob was in the band Crisis Jane. They started jamming together and after playing countless shows together and talking to fans after their shows , they soon realized they had a shared interest in making music that used their personal stories to inspire people to make something out of life. Their music covers issues from, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, depression and suicide; they draw on personal experiences which makes their music truthful, honest and completely relatable. In April of 2010, Ivan went through an intense song writing workshop with Robb Nash (Live on Arrival). It was two solid months of learning how to write a hit, which resulted in the writing of 6 brand new tracks, which has led to today's vision of Beautiful Insanity. “You know that someone thoroughly enjoyed your set when they looked deeper than the entertainment and found a message in your lyrics. That’s when you realize you really got their attention, right from the start and that’s what we focused on, putting a message in our songs.” Says, lead singer Ivan.
Expect to be hearing from Beautiful Insanity late this summer, and look out for their cross Canada tour, as well as the debut self-titled album!
