Bio

Beau knows the art of singing in his own uniquely winning way. His illustrious rise through music success is well documented. He began as a teenage regular on a live television show and proud possessor of a regional hit record in his hometown of Houston, Texas. His journey has included such pivotal pit stops as a highly dramatic, 1984 “Star Search” victory (in which he defeated the thirteen-week long champion), and a four album Capitol Records tenure as one of the industry's premier R&B balladeers. Beau's fruitful artistic calling was planted in Texas during his formative years as the son of a Baptist preacher (father) and choir director (mother). It was nurtured at Capitol Records while Beau's roots were deeply entrenched in the mainstream marketplace. Beau is ranked among the top ten National Anthem singers in the United States. He was an anthem singer for the Los Angeles Lakers for six years, and has also performed for the Texas Rangers (NLB), Dallas Cowboys (NFL), and Houston Rockets (NBA). With the June 2010 release of his latest album project, Power, Passion, Purpose , he is able to stand on a legendary plateau because his multi-faceted career has remained steady in international acclaim. Different people recognize him for different genres of music. Some know him as the man who serenades his wife with his original love songs, which filled a complete album, The Greatest Gift , in 2002. His performance of “The Greatest Gift (from God to Man is a Woman)” on Black Entertainment Television (BET) heightened the ratings of that particular program, superior to any previous episode in the eighteen years of it's existence. Additionally, his 1989 project, Wonderful debuted at the number nine spot on Billboard's chart, landed at two, and stayed in the top ten family for fifty eight consecutive weeks. In the meantime, it earned a Dove Award for “Song of the Year”, and Grammy, Stellar, and James Cleveland Award nominations. His other recordings include The Greatest Love(2006) , Visions (2004), Covenant Brothers (1999), This Christmas (1998), They Need to Know (1997), Power (1994), Love (1992), and Higher (1990) . Beau's music appeals to people from all walks of life, but the message is singular: Beau knows and wants you to know too. What? You'll just have to listen to find out.
