Now Available From South Carolina Funk Rockers Beav,
Have You Reached Your Peak?
Have You Reached Your Peak?, the debut CD from BEAV, is now available. The song is a classic rocker with a funky twist, incorporating influences like Jimi Hendrix, Peter Frampton, Sly and the Family Stone and Mothers' Finest. From the opening line," We are here/having a good time," to the searing guitars and soulful vocal harmonies, this is the sound of a good time band. Have You Reached Your Peak? is self produced, and available through cdbaby.com and amazon.com.
Beav consists of Hemingway, South Carolina, twins Arnold(guitar, drums, keyboards, harmonica and vocals) and Ronald Weaver(bass and lead vocals) along with their nephew J. Weaver on additional vocals.
The band got its name from their brother, an accomplished basketball player nicknamed "Beav." The twins used to follow their older brother's games and the nickname was passed down to them. Unable to tell the twins apart, teammates simply began calling both brothers "Li'l Beav." When the idea came up to form a band, the name was a natural. And what is the idea behind the band? "Our goal is to put out some great funk rock music and please our fans," says Arnold. Beav are well on their way to accomplishing that goal.
