Bio

Bec and Ben know how to make an impact. Bec bashes a stand up drum kit like a woman possessed, completely captivating the room while Ben holds everything together with razor-sharp, driving riffs.. Their unpredictable high-energy performances and raw, edgy songwriting have established the duo as a head-turning live act not to be missed. "There’s a sweet little spot in rock heaven for duos that make big harsh gritty rock, and Bec and Ben emanate it from every snare crack and guitar strike. Do yourself a favour and jump on this bandwagon before it really starts rolling." (Rys Mcrae, The AU Review)

Bec and Ben write dark, distinctly-Australian rock, exposing universal emotions with their brutally honest songs of love, lust and loneliness. The single 'This is why I love you' from their debut EP was premiered on Triple J "A little bit bluesy, a little bit Dead Weather, a little bit Band Of Skulls and a lot of rocking fun", Dom Alessio (Triple J). The band has toured relentlessly, supporting the likes of Courtney Barnett, DZ Deathrays and Sticky Fingers. From rough bars and underground warehouses, to a stand-out showcase at BIGSOUND, Bec and Ben own the stage, turning on debaucherous and unpredictable performances wherever they go.

'White wall' (the single produced by Aria Award winner Matt Lovell) hinted at a new direction for the band. After 4 years of relentless touring and prolific songwriting, Bec and Ben have expanded the lineup to a full 5 piece band, fleshing out their charismatic stage presence with an even more powerful and arresting sound. Their debut album (produced by John Castle -Megan Washington, Vance Joy, The Bamboos) is to be released later this year and "if you haven’t already had the chance to catch Bec and Ben live, you’d best keep an eye out for the next show they’re playing near you. Their music is raw with its honesty and refined by its creativity; something no rock fan would want to miss." (Emily Booth - The AU Review)
