Bio

Currently signed with a production deal with Poison Ivy Records, of Philadelphia. Becky D* is focusing on completing recording her first album. Taking the approach of producing music first, then have a back up, band ready to rock it into full force, on stage!
When Becky writes music, she writes for the stage- for the crowd and how they would react to it. So it is definately tailored for live presentation. Mostly, she has alot of music stuck in her head that needs letting out! Becky D* has various influences- as young as 4, she would hear Mary Wells, Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart and Blondie play on the radio. Becky was always attracted to people with distinct different voices. The late 1980's- Paula Abdul was her role model and pop influence. The beginning 1990's, Old school hip hop, dance and pop ruled my radio and influence. Practicing to Madonna and Mariah Carey. Becky learned about more influences along the way. In the mid 90's- Meat Loaf and Sherl Crow was her biggest influence. When she went to lived on her own, Becky had met up with new musical friends that contibuted mostly to her classic rock influence and got right back into alternative rock since at that point she was new at guitar and was reaquainted with Ozzy.
It's totally a mix.
For each song Becky writes and have composed, it depends on the energy of the song how it will sound and what type of rock style would be used. Becky had always aspired to do a mixed media album- maybe later, but for now, it's evolving into "mixed media rock". She is also trying to help people steer away from what she calls "dread rock".
What sets Becky apart also, is she title's her look as Punk Classy. She has always her own individuality. That's what Becky is doing with her music; stream line to the bottom line of fun rock! Becky will do music for life, she says, no matter major or Indie. - (BR)
