Becky Greene & Hot Mess

Becky Greene’s musical aspirations began at an early age…performing with anyone from Wynonna to Aerosmith on her air guitar and pretend drums in her room in the south Georgia town of Douglas. None of these dreams transpired until she got her first real guitar and had a patient neighbor sit and teach her while she was at Lander University in Greenwood, SC in 2001. Becky proved to be a quick learner and has since been writing and performing her music along with covering songs by her influences; John Mayer, Stevie Wonder and Fleetwood Mac, just to name a few. Her soulful voice has been compared to the sounds of talents such as Janis Joplin and Melissa Ethridge and her song-writing talent is phenomenal. In all her originals, you can hear and feel her personal experiences speaking to you through her profoundly emotional sound.
