"Songs From Saranac Lake"

"...Then as I was edging toward the door, everything changed. A young woman took the stage with her Epiphone Dove acoustic guitar. By the middle fo her first song, all I could think was that Vossler had brought in a ringer, a pro to stop any early exits. The woman's voice, her playing, her songs were so good I froze in my seat...You' d be nuts to miss the opportunity to catch Sutter at one of her local dates this summer..."
- Tom Hughes, Publisher - Adirondack Life Magazine

Bio

Emotional, heartfelt and evocative. I draw on my life's experiences to write songs that tug at the soul's delicate strings. Not on purpose, mind you, but this is what happens. I write about topics that some artists may feel are taboo, like; suicide and the deep loss that comes with death or addiction. But I also write and sing about the hope and love and growth that follows such losses and defeats. I find inspiration in the wilderness that surrounds me and try to express that unhibited, timeless beauty in my music and so far...it's worked. I've actually had people sit in my audience and openly shed tears of joy and relief and thank me after my show for helping them heal an old wound. I think my early influences like Joan Baez, Shawn Colvin, Ricky Lee Jones, and Jerry Garcia helped me to dig deep emotionally when writing music and my later influences in Joan Osborne, The Indigo Girls, and Patty Griffith showed me it was OK to write about things that hurt.
