At the age of 13, his mom nicknamed him GAB after realizing he could talk his way out of almost anything and complete any task before him as if he’s lived this life before. The name GAB comes from the idiom “Gift of the Gab” which in turn means to be able to speak readily and with the mind of an expert. The name quickly spread amongst friends, and soon became the name of choice over his birth name.

Upon hearing the raspy voice from the Belizean/Bed-Stuy native, the likes of DMX, Shyne, Ja Rule, or Method Man may come to mind. The articulation and depth matched with a serious pen game, and a genius mind-set of a business man brings an attention grabber like no other. Whether you consider him confident or cocky from an outward perspective, the internal nature of GAB displays a humble humanitarian with the need to succeed.

After high school, GAB enlisted in the military which landed him in the great state of Texas. Known for its independent hustle, and diverse new generation of music, Texas is a music hustler’s playground. Since settling down in Texas, GAB has worked with various producers on many projects, and became the go-to guy for various connects. After serving his country, he left on a mission to follow his dreams. In late fall of 2009, he announced his official disc jockey by the name of DJ Nappi. Also, he has since launched FoCused Entertainment to market himself and welcome other artist on their journey onto the music scene.

GAB is the type of artist that can walk into a club in any city and instantly make lifelong connects, friendships, or business partners. With A&R’s on the watch, producers filling his managers email, and a team of supporters willing to do whatever to see him succeed, GAB will be the next Hip Hop legend.
