Bio

Beg for Justice was founded in 2008 by Joe Morales, Nate Starke, and Jeremy Peterson. The band’s intention was to play acoustic folk rock, but instead took a different path. Shortly after, they switched to an array of bluegrass, folk, and an occasional mix of their own music. The band played the local club circuit for about a year. Although the band seemed to get along with each other, the styles of music tended to differ. After the band went their separate ways, Jeremy and Joe decided they wanted to play the new style of music. After hearing and seeing several different artists perform, Joe and Jeremy recruited an upright basest, a fiddle player, a banjo/guitar player, and another guitar player. Little did the group know, Joe was planning to move to Utah with the intentions of keeping the band alive. The band seemed to work well with one and other. Joe gradually worked them into the sets as days went by. Since everyone was musically educated, the members knew how and what they were doing. Upon Joe’s departure, the band promised to continue to perform high energy concerts staying “true to the roots” of music. Beg for Justices’ main influences are Old Crow Medicine Show, Trampled by Turtles, and Ricky Skaggs.
Beg for Justice takes pride in being unlike a “typical rock cover band”. They keep the crowd interested with their improvisation and driving rhythm. Their up beat tempo drives the crowd for more.
