Beggars at the Door

Beggars at the Door

BandRockPop

You see the trees that are dying within a forest and all the animals have disappeared. You hear the faint sound of melodies in the air.Through the fog, you see the group Beggars at the Door rise up through the ground. Harmonizing what was left for dead, bringing everything back to life.

Biography

Beggars at the Door is comprised of four friends from a small town in Southern Ontario called Tottenham. Julian Bachlow fronts the band with keyboards and vocals. Julian brings wisdom from what he has learned from having some success in his solo projects. Eli Jewett shreds through sound waves with his lead guitar and back up vocals. Eric Clarkson taunts your ears with his plucking bass magic. Corey Kelly brings it all together with his drums. Using original material from talents unknown within our natural and canadian bones, we bring you music that needs to be heard!

Lyrics

Silence Falls

Written By: Beggars at the Door

Wandering around, not knowing
What it’s for
Inventing the reason, wasting time
So much more
Explaining with my words but there failing

Calling out to the sun and the moon
Across the sky
Even though it’s so far away
So am I
Where do we find the words their so distant

Asking why, Am I afraid to die

Silence falls on everyone
Silence falls on everyone

All these people have gone somewhere
So will we
Try to find that place can’t be touched
Never seen

We can never be sure where we’re going
Imagine going there no return
No memories
Like Whispers of a night in a dream
So unreal
Don’t fear the change, we’re so resistant
Asking why, am I afraid to die

Just let it go, it’s all just one big show
Just let it go, looking through the glass of a window

Silence falls on everyone
Silence falls on everyone
Silence falls on everyone
Silence falls on everyone

When we were young

Written By: Beggars at the Door

These people don’t mind at all
Walking around with no questions answered
I remember the days I remember their ways
I’ll show you what it’s like so you can stay

Gone are the days when we were young
We walked a long the country roads
They took us to these little towns
Now we sit and wonder aloud
We wonder aloud

Going back and fourth nowhere to be
Underneath the moon and all of the trees
I’ll sit and wait and than you’ll see
The days we longed for can’t be reached

Our lives spiral down until we reach that final sound

Gone are the days when we were young
We walked a long the country roads
They took us to these little towns
Now we sit and wonder aloud
We wonder aloud

Take me back blues

Written By: Beggars at the Door

This time tomorrow will you still be here
I’m guessing you don’t want to wait no more

I’m not sure if you want me back
Just me know but I’ll need some time

We can just be happy
Even just say maybe
We can live our greatest fantasy

Even though our days together have ended long ago
We can still get together, there’s many more things to know

All my dreams are gone now my dear
All of the pieces scattered all over the floor

I’m not headed down that same old track
What you did that evening was less than sublime

This cannot be mended
I hope you’re not offended
This could just be a symptom of our greed

Even though our days together have ended long ago
We can still get together, there’s many more things to know

Get together
Be Together
Live forever
Now
