Five Track "Demo" CD ... released in November 2005, included the first songs ever written by The Reds (our previous name). All are available to download at www.beginoliver.com.
"richDisaster" ... released in July 2007, was our first studio album. It was arranged to be a party album, so just press play and you're good for the night. Again, all tracks are available at www.beginoliver.com.
"Big New Town" ... to be release in Spring 2011, is a departure from straight "pop rock" and a development into a more "roots rock" sound. The growth of both the songwriting and instrumentation is shown throughout the album, especially on tracks like "Permanent Grey", "Life Less Fine" and "Some Would Say".
Now we're back in the studio, under our new name "Begin Oliver" ... recording singles, like "King of Fools" and "The New Great Divide". Enjoy!!

Trying to sound like anything in particular wasn't something we really even thought of. Our own sound turned out to be different and to us is still the most fun to play so yeah, why not. I mean there's nothing better than watching someone on the dance floor bruise their pelvis dancing to some jam they've never even heard of by a local band they didn't know existed.
If you grab these three guys, all with influences ranging from Counting Crows, Radiohead, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Matchbox20, etc and put them in a room together for seven years ... what you get is Begin Oliver. Add a crowd to that mix and we're in for a great night.
