The Beguhn-Speck Project

The BSP features the versatile, powerhouse vocals of American Idol
semi-finalist Steve Beguhn, and the fiery guitar styling of Adam Speck.


A high-energy acoustic explosion drawing from an expansive
repertoire of carefully chosen and uniquely arranged covers, as well as
the groups diverse originals, a BSP show is one part sing-a-long and
one part dance partywith a splash of comedy. Signature grooves, vast dynamics, and tight vocal harmonies, these guys produce studio-quality sound, LIVE, in any size venue!

The BSP launched in 2013, but these gents are no strangers to the stage


Steve (Beguhn) is a Wisconsin boy, a Badger alumnus, a licensed CPA,
and a Green Bay Packers owner. None of that is relevant here. Steve
once served detention for not reading the music he had memorized, an act
of 4th grade defiance he credits with launching his music career.


Steve sings everything. He cut his chops in musical theatre, with lead
roles in West Side Story, Oklahoma!, and South Pacific, and in college,
spent 3 years with the MadHatters, the world-renowned a cappella group
from the University of Wisconsin. In 2011, Steve auditioned for
American Idol, advanced to Hollywood, and ended his run amongst the
final 125 of over 120,000 hopefuls. In addition to launching the BSP,
Steve continues to tour as a solo act around the country - both as a
musician, and as a motivational speaker (fb.com/stevebeguhn).


Adam (Speck) is an Indiana native and a Chicago Bears fan, making it
virtually impossible for us to get gigs in Wisconsin. Despite these
obvious shortcomings, the man can do more with 6 strings than most can
do with 100. Nobody actually does that, but still. Bachelors and
Masters degrees in Music Performance. Former member of Northern
Illinois Universitys elite Classical Guitar Ensemble and Ball State
Universitys top Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, and Classical Guitar ensembles.
So, yeahes been around.

Adam has played and taught guitar
professionally since the tender age of 18, serving both as a studio
musician, and as a member of numerous professional pit orchestras, as
well as eclectic jazz, classical, blues, soul, funk, rock, folk,
Avant-garde and world music ensembles, all of which influence that
signature BSP sound.
