"When they play, they play with fire. Always leaning on the door of discord, Belikos performs with a wild audible passion that is driven by quick-lipped raps and rampant guitar riffs...(Belikos is) as innovative as they are entertaining..."
-Veronica Thew; - Jezebel Music

“Next up was Belikos, who blew me away…I had a blast watching their set. Belikos displayed some smooth moves on stage as well as a ton of energy! It’s so hard to put a genre label on this band, they’re touching all areas: a little hip-hop, some rock n’ roll, funk and blues; definitely an original band to check out. There is something about Belikos that draws you in, powerful, strong, fun to watch and listen to.”
-Tina Teresi; Never Mind The Posers (

“I almost think this is what it would sound like if Outkast decided to go rock on their next album. Saying they (Belikos) have a unique sound is an understatement…”

“(Belikos is) A five-piece dance rock band, they sound like Andre 3000 on a good day fused with pure instrumental creativity…It's always funny to me how good bands like this go unseen, until you stumble upon them at a hole in the wall bar and become completely obsessed…”
-Whitney Summer Boyd; Afro-Punk

"The Utica Daily-Observer"

“Listeners will be drawn to the band’s high-energy fusion of savage rock, hypnotic hip-hop, and tantalizing funk. There’s nothing quiet about this band, and that’s a good thing, since you’ll want to hear what they have to say…” - The Utica Daily-Observer

"Quiet Color"

"It seemed to be only seconds into the first song when all of a sudden everybody from the bar and surrounding area was in front of the stage jumping around like toddlers on a sugar high. Some convincing rock fused with some witty hip-hop verses and undeniable funk made two feet in front of that stage the place to be in Brooklyn that night." - Quiet Color

"CNY Home Page"

"This band is an astonishing mix between Pharrel and N.E.R.D. That's right Pharrel and N.E.R.D. they have found the amazing formula of mixing sexual yet classy hip-hop lyrics with an array of talented instrumentalists...Their onstage presence is second to none as they rock out harder than The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pump the crowd like DMX in his hey-day! This group can really put on a show; anyone in the crowed should feel privileged to be in the presence of one of the greatest underground talents there is"

"107.1 WQKL"

"Belikos is a much needed blend of kick ass and hell yeah!! Belikos is a smack of rich, raw, rare talent that comes around once a decade. They are like a rock tsunami, that picked up the village of hip-hop and smashed the whole damn thing on you." - 107.1 WQKL

"92.7/96.9 WRRV"

"Belikos is gifted with the power to entertain. No matter where they are, they bring life to the scene. I have seen them turn the girls standing, arms crossed and doubtful, into the girls dancing on the tables by the end of the night. With their captivating charisma and a beat that won't quit, they are one of the most refreshing acts that I have seen in a long time." - 92.7/96.9 WRRV

Belikos EP- 2007
Vendetticate EP- 2009
The Live and Die EP- 2011

Both have radio play in Detroit Metro/Ann Arbor, NY, NY and the Hudson Valley Region, NY

Since joining forces in Ann Arbor, Michigan in late 2006, Belikos moved east to their adoptive home of New York City and has been taking over the east coast piece by piece. They have played clubs, venues, and festivals from the Virgin Mobile Free Fest, CMJ College Music Marathon, The Afro-Punk Festival, Piano’s, Santos Party House the Bitter End in Greenwich Village, and Webster Hall in Manhattan, the Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, St. Andrews in Detroit, headlining the Utica Music Festival in Utica, to performing alongside Bad Brains, Mos Def, Fishbone, Lifehouse and Matt Nathanson. Belikos has released three EP’s and a live album, the most recent of which is ‘The Live & Die E.P.’ which was released in September 2011.

Tired of the flaccid, ineffective rock and roll that is being sold to the masses today, Belikos is looking to revive the idea of originality within the genre, and looking to bring people back to the live show- because in the time of digital music, the last real connection that the fans have with their music is truly the live show. Belikos is a rock and roll band who, in the great tradition of rock and roll, has absorbed what they were brought up around and incorporated that into their sound, which leaves them drawing from influences ranging from Outkast, to Tool, to Prince, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
