"Just the Job"

It was hard to believe that such a beautiful sound could come out of such a small grand piano (my dining friend tells me it was cross-strung). But even more remarkable was that such an unassuming and pretty woman could fill the air with moving, melodious tunes, played with grace, feeling, and an almost unconscious precision. Nice key changes; some lesser-knowns as well as a few instantly recognisable ones; and at a level where you could either listen intently with ease, or have a conversation at a normal level. Perfect dining music!

Bio

I'm a global nomad, I've lived all over the world and began composing at the age of 12. But no matter where go, I observe my surroundings and let them speak to me. I write/sing about things that reach out and somehow grab me.
One of the songs you can hear is called "Ben Hash Mashot" - this is a Jewish concept, it's the time from when the sun sets until the first star appears in the sky, the official beginning of nighttime. It's "no man's land" but in time, and it made me think of all the times in life where we feel in between, between all sorts of things, just like that time of day.
More recently I was doing relief work in Africa and that experience, seeing how those people live, the troubles and hardships they endure, and knowing how I live in the western world, quite 'untouched' by all of that.. I wrote a song called "Cosy Cocoon" describing how we all live in our cosy cocoons rarely knowing what goes on in the rest of the world and we often become so unmoved by the life that is lived outside our own little environment. I write and sing about life, and despite all the misery and heartbreak I see everywhere, I always look for the ray of hope, I find it, and then I tell others about it.
