Bio

This band formed in 2007 when Darien, the vocalist, met Sorice (guitars) and Lou (bass) over Myspace. The three jammed just one time and right away they knew they had something special in their hands. Over a year went by before they found a drummer who shared their vision to create music that came from the heart and most importantly, displayed a raw/melodic approach to songwriting that they hold true to this day. Belladonna itself came to life in February 2008 after Delkan joined the band on drums. Not only did he fit in perfectly with the rest, but he brought in a missing element that made them feel as though they had not only become a band, but a family as well. Songwriting immediately hit a new level creatively as boundaries were tested and they reached a new level of explosiveness they only dreamt about before finding it in each other and in Belladonna.

The four members headed into the studio with Bryan Russel, who was operating in the same recording studio previously used by Matt Squire (Boys Like Girls/Panic at the Disco) in the summer of 2008. They recorded three songs which captured within them the raw intensity, dark romance, and pop savvy that make up the songwriting approach of this band. After a week’s worth of long days and sleepless nights, the four boys came home with the EP they wanted to make; something that challenged the standard of the times yet expressed a desire to captivate audiences regardless of their scene.

They sound like nothing/everything you’ve heard before. At times you’ll hear the influence of some of their favorite bands (the used, afi, him) slip through the cracks and make itself present. Other times you’ll hear sections that display the sound they hope to be identified by. The Night Regulation EP is only the first taste of what’s to come.

Currently the band is playing dates throughout the tri-state area in support of the Night Regulation EP.
