Bio
Born in Vallejo CA, and raised in the small neighboring town of Hercules, Bellamy Sound has been writing music and dreaming of being a big city performer since he was fifteen years old. Influenced by a vast array of musical artists from different musical genres such as the Wu-Tang Clan, Madonna, Billy Idol, and Judas Priest, Sound is known for his ability to take the Rap/Hip Hop genre of music and spin it into his own Hip Hop twist, incorporating the best elements of other musical genres - the sensuality of pop, the intensity of metal, and the trend-setting tastemaking fundamentals of new wave, electronic, and indie. To gain some much needed experience in the music scene, in 2007 Sound started drumming and assisting in business matters for the band Fans of Jimmy Century, and with a steady diet of non-stop hustle and work ethic, he has been instrumental in the band's great independent success.
2010 kicks off with Sound self-releasing his debut 4-song EP, "The Create Controversy EP." The EP was completely produced, arranged, and written by Sound. To insure an epic authentic vibe, Sound enlisted well-known bay area Hip Hop sound engineer Michael Denten, to mix and master.
With his first EP complete, he has the opportunity to share with the world his vision of what Rap and Hip Hop can become. Boundaries will be broken, ceilings will be shattered, and contrasting musical genres will be fused, creating Sound’s signature sound.
Inspired by the Italian translation of the English "Beautiful My Sound," the name "Bellamy Sound" was born.
