"EP Review: Belle Histoire – I Can Tell EP"

Their music is catchy and their hooks are hard to hate, as a fan of heavy music for quite some years, this kind of musical change really shows that my perspective of certain music can change when listening, if i listened to this 2-3 years ago i would of deleted it from my hard drive and condemned it but alas I’m still listening and i’ve been listening to it over the past hour and still enjoying it. - Showing You The Music

"Review: Belle Histoire's I Can Tell EP"

There are a few things that make this band stand out. Sure, they have a female vocalist, but they just sound different from any indie band that is out there at the moment. - Sound Scene Press

"I Can Tell EP Review"

BELLE HISTOIRE, perhaps wrongly, will inevitably be compared to other female fronted pop-rock bands, with the ubiquitous obvious being PARAMORE. It's an especially boring comparison to make here, as their latest EP 'I Can Tell' offers far more musical variety than what you'd expect from such a saturated market. - Punktastic

"Midpoint Music Festival"

“Belle Histoire proved why they're one of the most exciting new bands in Cincinnati. The group had the smallish venue completely packed with fans crammed in shoulder-to-shoulder, so entranced by the band's lush, ethereal Indie Pop, it was quiet enough to hear a guitar pick drop.” - CityBeat

Bio

Everyone longs for a brighter future, and everyone dreams of a beautiful history. It’s in between these hopes that we find Belle Histoire, who deliver this wholeheartedly, and show no signs of stopping anytime soon.

In March of 2011, the Cincinnati, Ohio five-piece built a new indie alternative sound from the ground up starting with Jane Smith (lead vocals) and Aaron Hunt (guitarist). Soon discovering the magic within, they recruited Wes Comer (drummer), Austin Livingood (guitarist), and Mitch Winsett (bassist) to craft their unique sound.

All in all, Belle Histoire has defined themselves as a band with the purpose of reinventing indie rock music while gracefully making art that is universal; for the five piece, that vision has never been more clear. After their recent signing with InVogue Records, they plan to hit the ground running with a four song EP entitled ”I Can Tell,” to be released February 14th, 2012. They will follow with a full length album to be recorded in March, and released in Summer 2012.
