"Take Out Out Takes"

"It may seem like an oxymoron to use the terms "joyous" and "blues" in the same sentence. But you can't help putting the two together when describing the live set from Bellevue Cadillac on Take Out Out Takes: Live at Chan's Jazz Club. The Live format of the disc works perfectly for the band, since a studio recording may have cleaned the grease from under their nails and extinguished the fire under their tails. As is, the horns are dripping and the rhythm section is ripping."

-- Gary Miller - Atomic Magazine

"Bellevue Cadillac's Black and White"

"This is the toe tappingest swingingest band I have ever heard!"

Art Tipaldi, Blues Review Magazine - Blues Review Magazine

Bio

Based out of Massachusetts and Palm Beach, Florida, Bellevue Cadillac is an original, eight-piece all American band led by singer-songwriter and lead guitarist Doug "The Professor" Bell. The band was formed in 1991 to write and perform original music drawing influences from New Orleans jazz, delta blues, Philly soul, R&B as well as California surf, Tex-Mex with some Caribbean influences along the way.

Bellevue Cadillac collaborated with legendary producer, Rob Fraboni (Rolling Stones, Dylan, Clapton, Bonnie Raitt) and produced Bellevue Cadillac's debut CD "Black and White," which received rave reviews and accolades. The song "Black and White" found itself on the platinum selling compilation CD "Swing This Baby!" which led Rolling Stone magazine to feature Bellevue Cadillac as the best of the bands in the genre of neo-swing!

Bellevue Cadillac released its second CD "Prozac Nation" and found its music on no less than 18 compilation CD's featuring other artists including Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., Peggy Lee, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Brian Setzer leading to Bellevue Cadillac opening shows with James Brown, Ray Charles, Tito Puente, Aerosmith, Kool and the Gang, Bo Diddley and
BB King.

The music found its way on to television shows including The Sopranos, Las Vegas, Crossing Jordan, Sex and the City, Touched by an Angel, the cartoon Darkman, and the motion pictures Shallow Hal and Me, Myself and Irene.

As the music evolved, so did the shows, taking Bellevue Cadillac to Japan, China, Moscow, and most recently, Athens and Crete.

In 2005 Bellevue Cadillac found itself on the Grammy nomination ballot in seven categories for the "Love Allways" CD for Best Album, Best CD, Best Song, and Vocal performance by a group.

Bellevue Cadillac, having been hailed by Jazziz magazine and Rolling Stone in cover articles, had moved into the musical elite by having CNN Showbiz predict, "one day you just may see this band in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame." People magazine chose Bellevue Cadillac in the Best and Worst issue as "Pick of the Week."

The Bellevue Cadillac band created quite a media stir and may go down in history as the band that turned down the wedding of the century when they declined the offer to play JFK Jr.'s super secret wedding on Cumberland Island to honor a prior commitment.

Today Bellevue Cadillac continues to grow its world-wide fan base and thrill audiences of all generations with their fun, high-energy performances of their toe-tapping, can't sit in your seat, musical road trip through America!
