"White Light"

There is something about Bel Riose's music, especially in the live setting, that is beyond compare. It's like they play at a frequency with such power that it registers in the ears and through the body as white light. - The Skinny

Bio

Shaking up 2012, with their unique punk rock'n'roll stylings, are brothers Ryan and Geof Dolejsi of the bass and drums powerhouse Bel Riose. After a brief hiatus, these new fathers are back with a tighter musical focus and a brand new EP.
Ryan, whose vocals resonate with a beautiful tension, explains that the songs on their newly released EP, These are the Rules, are born of the music that the band most loves to play live. The fluctuating moods of their previous releases - The Notion, Get vs. Deserve, Moving Targets, and A Demonstration - write the story of their progression as musicians. These Are the Rules is the unified culmination of that 14 year long commitment. Geof, whose drums are as explosive as they are deliberate, cites the influence of Fugazi and Refused, alongside indie rock acts like Pavement and the Pixies. The result is that Bel Riose has found a compelling balance between musical angst and lyrical consequence. These are the Rules, foregrounds the best of the high-energy, heart-pounding rock'n'roll that loyal Bel Riose fans crave.
