Belt

Belt is my solo artist/stage name. I played and recorded all of the instuments and sounds on my album, 'Cause & Infect'. This is my first release. I played guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and synth sounds, rythm loops, and all vocals for this record. The project took me about just over a year to complete. Even though I currently have no musicians, I have no problem playing shows thanks to todays technology. I can play a place that has no p.a. as well as a place that does. With it only being just me on stage performing the vocals, I still put one hell of a show. As far as my acomplishments and goals for the future, I want to go all the way. I take my music very seriosly and I will not stop untill I have made it, and when I do I will always be working to keep fans listening. No joke.
I have been playing music since the age of 9. I started with drums, and over the past 22 years I've advanced to all of the others mensioned above. During and after high school I was the drummer for a band called 'Grim', from 1995-2000. Over that span of time we played many, many shows. I became a professional tattoo artist in 2001 and eight years later I decieded to be done, and do what I do the absolute best, which is make music and play shows.
The title of the album, 'Cause & Infect', was very easy to come up with, because it is a concept album. It tells a story. The causes during the course of my life, from childhood to present that turned me from my former self into who I am now. Belt. Resulting in a personality change is the reason I chose infect following cause instead of effect. I think it gives the the saying a nice twist while remaining true.
