Bio
Bel Vel in Finnish songwriter Jussu Poyhonen's alter ego. A crooner with one foot in americana and the other in alternative pop. From the rocky shores of southern Finland.
On Bel Vel's debut album, released in 2013 by Live Nation Finland, you can hear influences from americana to modern alternative pop with a hint of jazz, coated with versatile baritone voice.
In 2014 Bel Vel is working on the second album and was selected for a visit in November, 2014 to the House Of Songs in Austin, Texas, to collaborate with local amercan songwriters.
Bel Vel is performing both solo, as a duo with guitar and trombone player Markus Larjomaa and with the whole band.
