Bio
bemur was birthed from the continuous creative impulses between Adam Serruys and Bob Murray over the last 8 years. Bob & Adam first played together in Onegreenmile from 2000-2002. In the spring of 2002, Bob left OGM to join Son of Adam from 2002-2004, playing venues in the Metro Detroit area such as St. Andrews Hall, Meadowbrook Theatre, The Blind Pig, and the Magic Bag while having opportunities to play alongside great local talent such as Schaeffer and the Great Fiction and national recording artists such as Custom and The Cranberries.
After a few years of playing in other musical ventures, Adam and Bob began the writing process and compilation of official bemur music in the fall of 2007. bemur offers musical fans a warm experience with clean vocals, crisp guitars and heart-felt lyrics.
Musical influences for Adam include Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend/The Who, Spooky Ghost (Gerry Leonard), and David Gilmour/Pink Floyd. Bob's influences include Duncan Sheik, Nada Surf, Coldplay, Ryan Adams, and Jars of Clay.
