Still working on that hot first release.

It was a comparatively shaggy October morning, 2005, that Kristofer Karlsson was woken up by a telephone call from somebody who claimed to be Johannes Nordell. He sounded weak and spoke with a dark, drawling voice. The truth was that he was hospitalized and struggling against a hard stomach disease, caused by stress and rough living. These two gentlemen had only met each other quickly a couple of times in musical matters. They seemed to like each other in a strange platonic way. While lying in the hospital bed, Nordell had a lot of time to think about what he had accomplished in his twenty-three-year-old life, and what his expectations for the future was. He had been signed by SONY BMG for 2 years with no success at all, played in considerable bands without any results etc. After seeing the white light a couple of times, Nordell understood that a record had to be made before he left this planet. Karlssons past was if possible even worse. No musical successes, not even an attempt to reach it. Both of the guys insisted that a serious co-operation was at stake, and the goal was to make the greatest album of the decennium. It had to be a two-man-band, independent of other peopleĀ“s opinions about the music. They started to co-write in the northern Sweden and when the music begun to take form they invested in a studio, fixed a super tiny rat-hole in the suburb of Stockholm and got to work. They rented musicians to almost non-existent prices and survived on hotdogs and cheap pasta. The money that had been left over went to obscene amounts of alcohol just to have the strenght to stand each others miserable faces. This bittersweet living lasted for seven months whereupon the apartment had to be demolished by the Swedish government. To finish the undone recordings they had to kick out a lonely man they only knew by name from his little place. His flat had fantastic acoustics for vocal recordings. Now the album is waiting to be mixed and engineered before the world will get a taste of this becoming masterpiece.
