Ben Gordon is 23 years old and based out of Orlando, FL. He is a Yale graduate with a major in music. Having started playing guitar at age 13, he founded the band Havok and played coffee shops, battles of the bands, charitable gigs, and bars around Orlando. In college, Ben began a solo singer-songwriter approach, incorporating diverse styles with a lyric-centric aesthetic, unique rhyme patterns, and distinctive vocal performances. Influences include Elliott Smith, the Hold Steady, Magnetic Fields, Beatles, Prince, Lil' Wayne, Say Anything, the Cure, Green Day, Atmosphere, Bruce Springsteen, James Brown, Brand New, Jim Croce, the Smiths, P.O.S., Beach Boys, Eminem, Nirvana, Rilo Kiley, Sublime, Tenacious D, Warren Zevon, Flaming Lips, Weezer, and Elvis Costello
