Joseph "Joe B." Benintende III, aka BENin10D, retired from Live Nation after 20+ years as Director of Production, Promoter Rep. for Concerts & Concert Tours, both in the US and abroad. Then one day, a man drove straight into his rear end and left him paralyzed from the waist down. But, wait......of course there are moments when BEN has to deal with being different than he was, but he decided that GOD wanted him to focus on his original true love, that got him into the Business in the first place, which was writing and playing music. So even while still being in the hospital BEN began writing and here just a little while later, BEN has 45+ originals on his site, just waiting for the exact right artist and moment. Being blessed to have worked with almost every single music star there is today, his influences are to many to mention, but he pulls from many, many moments from the road with those artist. When asked, BEN states, he does not try to record his songs like an album, he feels, that when an artist decides to use a song, that artist and their producer, have to find the feel and sound that is right for them and BEN tries very hard not to influence that. He of course wants the song to sound great, but wants to keep it as simple as his brain will allow him to keep it, which if you know him is extremely difficult. He works EVERYDAY on his music, whether through self promoting, contacting his old acquaintances from the road, pitching song to every project he hears about and then there is always the writing, writing and writing. He shares it has become his true therapy, he regrets little in his life and his goals are simple. First Goal is to sell enough music to better support his family and to be able to get OFF of disability. He is truly grateful for disability, but really looks forward to getting free from it and works hard everyday to head in that direction. For those of us around him, we forget, it has only been barely a year since his accident and already he is taking on the WORLD.
