Bio
Born and raised in the Montreal neighbourhood of St. Henri where he self-developed his talents for Drums, Piano and singing, at the age of 19, Benjamin Hope became the lead singer of Funkstitution, a beloved band by both Montreal partygoers and critics alike. After they disbanded in 2008, more gigs and collaborations followed for Benjamin with the likes of respectable Quebec artists as Lulu Hughes, Steve Hill, Nanette Workman and his musical conspirators, the Madcaps, with whom he toured across Canada and Europe for over 200 shows. Realizing that his creative voice was burgeoning and that his ever growing passion for writing both music and lyrics was demanding him to express himself in a new and individual way, Benjamin Hope built a studio at his home and got to work. With the incredible rhythm section of Marie-Anne Arsenault on bass and Jonathan Gagné on drums, backed by the talented Richard Boisvert on Guitar, Ben has created a unique blend of; pop, soul, funk, electro, rock, blues & jazz.
