The Benje Daneman Group

The Benje Daneman Group features some of the most talented jazz musicians not only in the midwest, but in the nation. Leader and trumpeter Benje Daneman in only his short time in the professional jazz music world is beginning to make a path for himself in a big way. Within the year Benje has toured extensively with Doc Severinsen and His Big Band, was a finalists in the 2007 National Trumpet Competition (Fairfax, VA), was member of the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra & Big Band (under the direction of Patrick Williams in Los Angeles, CA) and performed on a GRAMMY nominated jazz instrumental album ("Elevation" recorded by The Henry Mancini Big Band). Not only that, but Benje is backed by some of the finest jazz musicians around. Their accomplishments speak from themselves including touring and recording with Curtis Stigers (Concord Records Artist), being named as a finalist in the International Society of Bassists Jazz Competition (2006), attending such prestigious schools as Manhattan School of Music, while and touring in China, South Africa and Europe.

Combining both original repertoire and uniquely arranged standards. This group is something unique that is hard to find. After years of playing together, all members have found ways to truly dig deep into their music to pull out something that will not only satisfy and entertain the audience, but something that they as musicians will even enjoy!
