BENJI

Benjamin Albert Collotta, better known by his stage name, BENJI, is an American Hip Hop artist from Boston, MA. At a young age, Benji’s father introduced him to a wide variety of music ranging from Classic Rock to Funk and Jazz. Benjis passion for music grew and he started playing the drums at as a child. He first discovered Hip Hop at age eight, hearing Sugar Hill Gangs, "Rappers Delight". Quickly learning the the song, Benji had a natural gift for memorzing and reciting lyrics. Freestyling became a big part of Benji’s repartee, showcasing his skills in cyphers, parties and wherever else he could display his talent.

Benji began writing his own lyrics in grade six, often putting school work aside to pursue his passion. it wasn’t until years later that he first got in the studio and began recording his own music. In 2014, Benji moved to LA. to fully pursue his dreams. Since the move he has released several Mixtapes and countless singles with the likes of artists such as Slaine (La Coka Nostra), Matsa Ace, Pawz One, Ren Thomas, Sinical and more. Benji has traveled the country performing all over and has also been featured in four Grind Mode Cyphers.

As he continues to build a name for himself, Benji hopes to break out of the underground scene as one of the hottest new emcees in the industry. his passion for hip hop is seen in his powerful lyrics, witty wordplay and story telling abilities.
