Bio

Chicago, IL. Born and raised, now based in Stone Mountain, GA. Born Bennie Earl Rodgers Jr., He spent numerous years, as one of the members of a local Chicago Southside group named “Grand Dynasty” in the late 90”s, as “Juganot Abbadon” a furious battle rapper. Even though the group had a good fan following they never official releasing an album under the group banner. In 2000 “Juganot Abbadon release his debut album “Eyes Wide Shut” with the success of a few songs from the CD “Hold me up”, “Thug and Angels” and “Most Beautiful” all featuring the group Grand Dynasty led to radio song play, and a steady flow of events and performances. In 2003 Juganot Abbadon released his 2nd album “It is What It Is” The album had a little buzz but between him relocating to VA. And GA. the album didn’t do well as expected.

Over the past years between life struggles Bennie reinvented himself, started fine tuning his skills as an MC and incorporating his love for the blues with his love for hip-hop/rap. He began playing the harmonica, which with his catchy lyrics and slick bars somewhere in between that blues feeling, over true hip hop beats “Bennieearl” emerged. He started doing features and writing hooks for other artist. While taking a similar path as the late great “Guru” he start working on a new album. Knowing nothing under the sun is new, Bennie was born of a need to write and perform the original music of America, The Blues!  Bennie’s debut album self-titled “BennieEarl” scheduled for a 2019 summer release

Catch any of his live performances and you'll find them moving seamlessly from blues, to hip hop/rap, to R&B, to Rock, to sick freestyle, to harp and guitar ballads. Yet it all manages to sound cohesive -- "dope as fuck" as one fan called it -- and it’s all part of the experience.

So be on the lookout for the BennieEarl experience. 2 syllables 1 word
