Ben Owens

I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old. About the same time I discovered my dad's old James Taylor album and a John Denver songbook. As soon as I could play 5 chords, I started writing. I wrote about what I felt and what I believed and what I didn't understand. Writing music and performing then became a huge part of my life and has stayed that way ever since. I have almost given up on music a time or two, but that sweet muse keeps finding me and bringing me back. I believe music has the power to change people. It's not magic, but music seems to move the soul unlike anything I have ever seen. I hope that my music can move people and make people think about who they are and who they hope to be.
