SINGER/SONGWRITER/RECORDING ARTIST-
BENTLI (SM) ANNOUNCES HIS SOLO DEBUT ALBUM RELEASE

January 15, 2007

Meet the next pop entertainer. He will unify the country with love of song. He will bring mainstream audiences to large and small live music venues. This entertainer and his songs are a little New York, like Billy Joel, a little South, like Elvis, a little classic rock like Boston and Journey, a little mature rock like Audioslave, Nickelback, and Goo Goo Dolls. Call him BENTLI (www.bentlimusic.com, www.myspace.com/bentlimusic). Born Brandon Bentley, the lead vocalist/principal songwriter for a popular 90s twice-national touring act Blackwood Avenue is announcing the release of his solo debut album entitled "Locked Away" to be available on-line and in select physical stores in February. BENTLI is the first featured artist for Dallas indie What You Need Entertainment, LLC.

"Locked Away" is a musical nostalgia-tinged statement about love, loss, suffering, and sacrifice. The album boasts several ballads including the motion picture theme song-ready tracks entitled "Here" and "Crossing Over," a pop song called "So Down," a driving rock track entitled "Locked Away", and an edgy pop song entitled "Social Medication". The album will be sold with bonus tracks and audiovisual materials including BENTLI's freshly-recorded cover of Bob Seger's hit entitled "Night Moves".

Speaking of his music influences, BENTLI first mentions his grandfather, and then Chris Cornell, Jeff Buckley, The Eagles, Boston , Journey, and Led Zeppelin. BENTLI, a prolific songwriter from a family of songwriters, says this about songwriting: "I was blessed to hear the entire picture of the song in my head even before the song is recorded. It's an organic experience."

This master entertainer can effortlessly connect with his audience. BENTLI recalls one particularly memorable such connection: "Blackwood Avenue was performing a song entitled "Run" about an Indian boy who was at that age where he's about to be sent into the world as a man. That song, a 12-13 minute rollercoaster, I sang almost entirely with my eyes closed, getting into the song, while seated on the floor of the stage Indian style. I recall how one time I opened my eyes to find the audience had responded in kind: everyone was seated on the floor Indian style. Afterwards, whenever we performed that song, the audience did the same. I look forward to connecting with my audiences again in this way."

What's next for BENTLI? He tours with this band in 2007. Look for BENTLI at a music venue near you. The second solo album is slated for Fall 2007. A sneak preview: BENTLI's resonant voice and his authentic songs will blow you away with their power.
