Crowd-sourced via a Kickstarter campaign, the 2012 self-titled album from Blount showcases why he was signed to former label Golden Music prior to the label's closure. In fact, his sound isn't that far from what's currently hot on country radio but where Blount differs is in the power of his voice. Quite simply, his is a voice that is stronger and grittier than stars with names like Gilbert, Aldean and Church. If given the same access to radio promotion and the like, Blount has the ability to be a huge star.
