""Take Some Time" wins Christian Music song-of-the-year runner-up award"

Ben proclaims God's love on and off the stage through his music and lyrics, his interactions with everyone, and through his life. Ben is a testament of living his life for God. His passion for serving others through his ministry will continue on as he finds ways to share Christ to a lost and dying world. - DeAnne Arnold, GJ Magazine

"St. Gabriel 2006 Kick-Off"

I’m so glad we found Ben for our Fall Youth Ministry Kick-Off Rally. He and his band were faith-filled and brought great energy to our group. He was skilled at drawing out participation and engaging the teens - which was our hope for the event. He had a good mix of spirit-filled, high energy praise music, and flowed well into leading the teens into reflective worship. Ben was easy to work with too! Ben Walther was the boost that we needed to re-join our youth community for our fall ministry programming.
-Matt Decker, coordinator of youth ministry, St. Gabriel community, McKinney, TX - Matt Decker

"2006 Youth Conferences..."

I enthusiastically endorse Ben and his band for any event where youth are present. Ben has proven to be one of the most effective worship leaders out there today. Whether it is getting 2,500 teens pumped up or taking that same group to a quiet place or prayer, the Ben Walther Band can do it. They would be a great addition to any youth event.
- John Beaulieu, Director of Youth Outreach, Franciscan University of Steubenville

"Parish LIFE TEEN kick-off, August 2006"

Ben Walther and Band truly set the stage for our LIFETEEN year! The room was charged from the first to the last cord played and we could feel the Holy Spirit come alive in every song. We were blessed to have them and look forward to an encore soon!
- Shannon Deitz, Youth Ministry Coordinator, St. Martha Parish, Kingwood, TX

"What A Blessing..."

We had Ben and his band for our Fall Kickoff celebration - what a blessing!
He has a unique ability to go from crowd pleasers to deep worship
seamlessly. He had our teens jumping and dancing, even to a funky version
of the Hokey Pokey (which was actually pretty cool). Yet towards the end of
the concert, he had all the teens on their knees before the Blessed
Sacrament, lost in deep worship. There was a connection that happened, and
he took our group where we wanted to take them, right to the very throne
room. It takes a gifted worship leader to navigate a path like that. We
were tremendously blessed! - Jim Beckman, The EDGE Coordinator, Church of the Risen Christ, Denver, CO

Bio

Ben Walther and the BWB began their musical journey on January 1, 2005. Nearly 500 teens from all over the Lafayette Diocese in Indiana broke the band in with their first gig in March of 2005. Soon after the word spread and the Ben Walther Band got busy, performing in Florida, California, Georgia and their native Texas, at popular venues such as Minute Maid Park, Home of the Houston Astros, KSBJ (the TOP Christian Radio Station for the Houston Metroplex) and the KSBJ first Annual SummerFest Music Festival. Four months after the band’s conception, in April of 2005, “Take Some Time” was nominated for a Runner Up Award for the KCCM Song of the Year. And the band has been featured in GJ Magazine, a MidWest Christian music magazine. Most recently, "Where I Want To Be" was awarded the top finalist status of the 2006 Independent Music Awards.
In May 2006, Ben left his work as a full-time youth minister to pursue his role as a songwriter and performer. "There is no greater adventure," Ben says, "than following God's plan for your life. His plans for us are always bigger than our own." Ben's life and ministry are a testimony to Psalm 37:4 - "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Ben is anticipating the release of a sophomore album sometime in the Spring, 2007.
