Bio
Ben is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Perth, Australia. Combining elements of folk, pop and jazz, his songs from the heart have delighted audiences with smooth vocals and meaningful lyrics. He has performed at major music festivals including: Fairbridge, Nannup, and Araluen Music Festivals.
Currently (2012) Ben performs with The Ben Zabbia Band and as a duo with keyboard player - Gavin Nicklette. He released his first album in 2005 entitled 'Into the Flame' and is currently working on a second album for 2013.
Ben is joined by some talented Perth musicians with experience in varied musical styles. Together they have been enchanting Perth audiences with their easy listening sounds.
Gavin Nicklette - Piano/Keyboards, Vocals - Gavin has studied Jazz Performance (piano) at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). He has performed with the
West Australian Jazz Youth Orchestra (2009) and is a member of a number of Perth bands.
Sandy Wilson - Drums/Percussion/Vocals - Sandy is multi-instrumentalist (drums,guitar,bass) and has experienced performing in a number of original and cover bands in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. His influences include folk, rock and funk.
Kiran Wilson - Bass, Vocals - Kiran has strong musical upbringing and has been influenced from a wide range of artists including: the Cook Island rhythms, Mozart and Switchfoot. He incorporates an extensive blend of styles into his music and also plays a variety of instruments.
