Bio
The Berkshire Hunts were founded in May of 2014. Drummer Buck Johnson had an idea to start a band that played original punk and rock and roll tunes with talented musicians and a great frontman. Guitarists Zack Odom and Bobby Marlar, both longtime friends of Johnson's, were recruited first. Bassist Julie TwoTimes (a recent Boston transplant) knew Bobby and was invited to jam with the band members. A musical connection was made immediately. The next and final piece was to find a frontman. Singer Neil Curran had fronted well known Austin bands, Bury Jenny and Dead End Cruisers. He had been out of action for a number of years. Buck reached out to him and a "practice" was scheduled.
At that practice, the Berkshire Hunts became a band. Through Neil's songwriting and vocal style and the numerous influences of the other members, the Hunts created their sound. They were in the studio a few months later and a 4 song EP was recorded. The plan is to start playing out in Austin and around the country and world in 2015.
