Bernard Anderson & The Old School Band has been playing smokin Hot Blues & R&b to enthusiastic crowds throughout the Bay Area. This high energy 4 piece band is comprised of seasoned world class musicians. Bernard Anderson played and recorded and backed up artist: Queen Ida, Charles Brown, Taj Mahal, Lowell Fulsom, Mary Wells, Carla Thomas, Roy Gaines, Sonny Rhodes, Jimmy McCraklin, Al Wilson and The Young Hearts. On Bass Henry Oden, has backed a virtual Who's Who of the bloues greats, including Jimmy Reed, Big Momma Thorton, Freddy King, Mike Bloomfield, Lowel Fulsom, Jimmy McCraklin, LC Godd Rockin Robinson, Bill Whithers, Pury Mayfield, Joe Louis Walker and Johnny Johnson. Dennis Geaney on Guitar, was a previous member of the Ike and Tina Turner review. Dennis is an accomplished R&B blues, funk, swing, latin and jazz musician, he easily incorporates all styles into his unique playing. Brian Berson on Drums, with 30 years under his belt recorded has played and recorded with the late Red Archibald. Brian and Henry give Bernard the versatile rhythm section he needs to anchor his woulful eclectic stylings. Can you remember the days when you heard "6345789"by Wilson Pickett on KDIA and some on KFRC in the bay area or Honky Tonk by Bill Doggett. Bernard is also favorite for his recording Zydeco music with grammy award winner Queen Ida. He also played with Taj Mahal.
