Bio
Started singing at the age of four in Cape Town, South Africa where he was born of mixed heritage. Won school competitions. Achieved No. 1 Hit Parade in the lat 60s in South Africa. Sang on the Percy Sledge Show in South Africa. Had to leave South Africa due to his outspoken views about the Apartheid regime. He left S.A. in 1972 and travelled the world as an entertainer performing with artistes the likes of 'The Platters', James Brown Band and Ray Charles Orchestra. Currently living in Australia and working as an entertainer and teacher. Bernie became a member of ASCAP in Nashville in 1976. He has released a children's talking book/dvd entitled 'The Adventure of Rainbowman'.
