"Subtle, personal and melodic." That's how Bernie Reifkind describes his latest solo album and new project "Welcome To Now." An advance single "3 Original Songs" has just been released.
"On "Welcome To Now" I wanted a more edgy sound and I believe that working with people like Dave Aron (Snoop Doggy Dog, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Larry Goetz (War, Brian Setzer, Etta James, Edgar Winter) brought a realization that you can introduce strong melodies and combine them with biting electric guitars and drums."
Bernie began playing the guitar at age 8 and immediately studied various musical styles including Rock, Jazz, Spanish and Classical. Bernie's first love was rock and roll and soon he began to perform live at parties, festivals and live events. An avid songwriter, he has more than 300 original songs. Bernie has scored the music to plays, movies and has had his songs performed on national television.
Rich in style and texture with lyrics that deal with the human experience "Welcome To Now" is expected to cross many genres of the pop world. When asked how he hopes that his music is received, Bernie answers, "Just play it loud!"
