Berry Goodz, born Kareem Berry, is a rapper from Brownsville,  Brooklyn, a area of New York. His stage name originates from a Movement he started called the “We Got the Goodz” and his last name put together. In Brooklyn, Berry had heavy hip hop influence. He grew up close to legendary, hardcore hip-hop group M.O.P, and just blocks away from Smoothe Tha Hustler and Trigga The Gambler. (“Broken Language”)

He is also childhood friends with Legendary producer D/R Period. At a young age, Berry, was caught up heavy in the street life and was incarcerated for a long time. During his time away, he crafted his raps, by kicking ciphers just about daily, in some of the Toughest Prison yards in New York State. He also, had a lot of time to work on himself, for he wanted to come out a better man. All this accredited to his style; a humbled man with street knowledge. The aura he gives off is unlike your typical rapper. His music can be described as eye-opening music. He’s got records you can sit down and vibe to with deep meaning, but then he can also come through with something that will make you dance, proving his versatility. Now signed on to that RockBoy Records label, Courtesy of D.R Period and his Parter Fly Ty. Berry Goodz, Dropped a few Spot Light Moments. His First Being that Jay Z  “Open Letter“ Redo ( May 8, 2013.
